Bowling Green is a city of neighbors helping neighbors.
Most of us have needed help at some point. Most of us will need it again. Sometimes the help is small (a meal, a ride, a phone number). Sometimes the help is bigger (a place to sleep, a doctor, someone who knows the law). Either way, asking for help is not weakness. It is what we do for each other.
This page lists the help that exists in Warren County, organized by the kind of need. Food. Housing. Healthcare. School. Legal. Emergency. Library. Each section links to a page with real organizations, real phone numbers, and real ways to get started.
If you live in Warren County and you need help, this page is for you. Pick the section that fits your situation and start there. If you do not see your need on this list, the closest section will usually have a number to call that can point you somewhere else.
This list is not every resource in Warren County. It is the places we know about. If you know a place we missed, tell us and we will add it.
Food.
Food pantries, SNAP enrollment, free school meals, summer meals for kids, and farmers market dollar-doubling for SNAP families.
Housing.
Help paying rent and utility bills, emergency shelter, transitional housing, tenant rights, and the long-term path to owning a home.
Healthcare.
Primary care, mental health and addiction services, county health programs, free and low-cost dental care, and Medicaid enrollment.
School.
Pre-K through high school. Tutoring, gifted programs, free test prep, special needs support, free residential summer programs, and adult education.
Legal.
Free legal aid, domestic violence support, immigration and citizenship help, court forms, and public defenders for criminal cases.
Emergency.
Crisis hotlines (911, 988, domestic violence), severe weather safety in twelve languages, and emergency contacts for power, gas, and water.
Library.
Free library cards for Warren County residents. Ebooks, movies, notary service, passport help, homework help, college prep databases, and a maker space with free tools. Everything is free.
